CASE STUDY: Clean Coast Technologies

Clean Coast, a leading distributor of environmental cleaning products and safety supplies, sought to design and develop an entirely new Web site in order to attract and educate new customers. The challenge Clean Coast faced, and one that Rockport sought to solve, is how to QUICKLY and EASILY educate a client base and then move these prospects to contacting Clean Coast for purchasing information. What Clean Coast needed was a 24/7 marketing solution that used existing marketing assets already created by Clean Coast to quickly and easily inform customers about what products Clean Coast provides, while remaining self-sustaining and entirely automated.

Rockport developed a new Clean Coast site and presented two entirely new design concepts and site structures. Using the existing content of the current site, Rockport created a wholly new online marketing environment for Clean Coast's operations. This site is composed not only of high value marketing and sales content aimed directly at Clean Coast's key customers but also contains a number of sales and marketing enhancements that will make the new site a true business tool. The end result was truly "making Clean Coast easier to do business with" than its competitors.

Web Site Design & Branding
Rockport's branding staff has worked with numerous companies over the years, including NuFlo, Varco, FMC and Cooper Cameron, and presented multiple design concepts that would appeal directly to Clean Coast's customer base and encourage them to contact the company for more information. This design process is critically important, as it is "a window" on Clean Coast operations for customers coming in through the Internet. A shoddy or less than professional Web site experience can result in a similar perception of the company itself.

Search Engine Optimization
Rockport performed SEO (search engine optimization) on the new Web site to allow for high visibility in all major search engines. This will allow customers searching for certain services to be presented with Clean Coast's Web site at an optimum position inside search engines such as Google, Yahoo and others. The first step was to perform a thorough analysis of all critical and relevant Keywords and to run a baseline report of related sites and competitors within all major engines. This keyword analysis will determine the very best words, phrases and descriptions to attract customers to Clean Coast's site. In addition, Rockport performed Content Optimization on this site, allowing it be spidered (indexed) by all major search engines.

Overall, this new site was designed to let the Clean Coast achieve its most professional appeal and quickly impart important information to customers. The goal was to outshine the competition by using the updated Web site as a "first impression" tool that shows potential customers the quality inherent in Clean Coast's products.
